My drawings contain independent single-panel cartoons about Yaya the Duck, a fun-loving, peaceful character. Whether she finds herself caught in a difficult situation, heartbroken, or just enjoying her leisure time - doing sports, playing a musical instrument, or going to the park - she looks at life with a humorous attitude. I was born in Taiwan and grew up in the United States. In 1999 I graduated from Columbia University in New York City with a master in musicology. I have written short stories and children's stories in Chinese, which appear regularly on World Journal, a Chinese newspaper published in North America. In addition to writing and drawing, I am also a musician and play violin, piano, and the Chinese fiddle and bamboo flute. |
