I Was Born With Two Tongues - "Broken Speak"The "Tongues", Emily Chang, Marion Esguerra, Anida Yoeu Esguerra, and Dennis Kim, have performed at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, and regularly represent across the region. Their words are filled with hope and imagery. This panAsian explosion of song and verse is definitely something you should not miss. Formed to give cry to the teeming voices and varied carols of Asia Amerika, to tell the truths and stories that feed dignity and action and shrivel the lips of unexamined assumptions, the Tongues believe in meaningful unity woven by empowered individuals, in word and sound and power. Check out their Website for Poetry, Journal Entries and to Order this Fierce cd! e-mail the tongues at: tongues2@hotmail.com |

Ermias - "Glimpse of Victory"Originally from Ethiopia, Ermias T. Kebede lived in different parts of the world including France, Italy and now U. S. A., in the city of Chicago. Picked up the bass guitar when he was 17 and has been playing almost every kind of music since. He joined a variety of bands in his career, some of whose members included artists who have played with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie and Ziggy Marley. Currently 29 years old runs his own independent label, ETK MUSIC, under which he has released two albums "Mystic Groove" and " Glimpse of Victory". A combination of New Age and Reggae music like you have never heard before, "Mystic Groove" transports you into the planes of strong rhythms and hypnotic grooves with subtle yet distinct melodies paving the way. "My primary motivation for completing the project Mystic Groove is to bring forth the mystical rhythms of Reggae to a wider audience. I have always been moved by the subtle yet powerful rhythm of the "one drop" beat that mainly categorizes Reggae music from the rest. I believe different types of music affect different parts of the human self and Reggae goes right to the spirit." For more information please contact: ETK MUSIC |
